Cooper here at etrailer and today we're going to be taking a look at the Konig XG-12 Pro Tire Chains on our 2021 Dodge Durango using tire size 265/50-20. Make sure that you use our fit guide here at etrailer to make sure that you're getting the right size tire chains for your right size tires. Additionally, for this car specifically, we are installing them on the rear axle so make sure you go ahead and check your user's manual to see which axle that they recommend you installing your tire chains on. Our tire chains here are gonna have this diamond pattern which is going to get us a lot more coverage across our wheel compared to something like a laddered pattern. Which the ladder pattern really just helps with that starting and stopping, it has a little bit rougher riding than our diamond pattern, which is going to help a lot more with our side to side motions. They're also low-profile, so they're going to give you a nice, smooth ride in the light snow situations, and they also come equipped with their own tensioning device, as opposed to others where you would have to buy this separately.The chains have a diagonal pattern to them, which is going to give you a little bit extra stopping power during turns. These do come in a quantity of two and do also have a convenient carrying case, so once you're finished using them, you can place them in the back of your Dodge Grand Caravan and they're ready for next time.These are also SAE Class S chains, which are designed to work with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance, such as our Dodge Grand Caravan here, and they meet Department of Transportation requirements in all states.Today, we're working with tire size 225 65R17. Now with the diamond pattern design of it, it's gonna have greater coverage on your tire, and it's gonna help out with better starts and stops, but also with the small D-links, it's gonna provide a smoother ride in those snow and ice situations as well.These chains are manually installed and are pretty much color coded where you need to go as far as what links up to what and what chain needs to be pulled through where. Also, how we have the chains laid out right now, we can just lift them up and set them on tire, but just so you know, we want this portion of the chain facing away from the tire. Now, we'll just go ahead and pick up the chains and drape them over the tire, making sure they go on evenly. more
